Baby Sunday: 14 weeks

2nd trimester here we come!!

Obsessions/Rampages: Getting this house up and running is an obsession of the week. Matt and I made a huge trip to Ikea and Costco yesterday for some much needed supplies and furnishings. I was pooped when we finished at Ikea but we had to endure and venture on into Costco for essentials like toilet paper and toothpaste, you know things that make us smell good so people will talk to us. I was ready to fall over with exhaustion after those trips. Matt has been such a big help picking up in the areas where I've been lacking, he is such a wonderful man.

Elations/Worries: Elated that I'm feeling better this last week. I'm able to control my nausea much better and even squeeze in working out several times a week. Not bad eh? I wore one of my favorite pencil skirts to church today and I'm worried I probably won't be wearing it much longer, I give it 3 maybe 4 more weeks. It fits everywhere but is getting a little snug in the middle. Oh well, now I can go shopping. :) And to those asking for belly pics, there is no belly just a bloated Megan, but I'm hoping that when we find out the sex there will be nice solid bump. But then again I've been blessed with what I've been told are great child bearing hips so there is plenty of room for the babe to grow into. But we'll see. Oh and I have to record that I thought I felt the baby move, but upon reading in my pregnancy bible that that's next to impossible I deemed that it must have been a case of flatulence.

Aversions/Cravings: This section always seems to have the longest response. Maybe that's because my life revolves around food! I offically had a craving this week. Quizno's veggie sub. yum! AND the most random craving ever, mashed potatoes from KFC. This is soooo out of the ordinary for me since I haven't been to KFC since like 1992. But man were those taters good! mmmm tatoes...I still love cereal, yogurt and fruit. And I cannot ever seem to fill my stomach. I'll eat and then an hour later I'm hungry again, it's ridiculous. And I haven't gained a pound! Double ridiculous. I'm gonna have to pick up the calories if this baby is gonna have any fat on him or her. I woke up this morning famished, like I hadn't eaten in 2 days! I thought I was going to die. I'm also noticing an increase in thirst, I'm always thirsty. I think I went to the water fountain at church today like 4 times. Aversions- meat of any kind sick!

This weekend for Vday Matt and I just chilled at home since I'm useless after like 6 o'clock. Matt had the most beautiful flowers delivered to the house with the most heartfelt card EVER. I cried...twice. And he got me some chocolates that were gone in .5 seconds. Delish. Matt got a cool gadgety remote that's he's been wanting for while. That's about it. This week has been very good to us and I have another appointment this Tuesday, so I'm very excited about that. That's all for us, goodnight!

I hated meat, too and I'm still averse to eating pork. Bleh. Even the thought of it right now makes me queasy. Funny how some things stick with you after pregnancy.

Hey, Meg. I am glad you are feeling better. You may have felt your baby... I felt Ashton at 12 weeks, Jackson at 9 weeks and Briton at 18 weeks (my placenta was in the way, so it took a while longer) but I had a very sensitive uterus. As to your craving... my only craving that ever occured was with Ashton and it was Apple Bee's garlic mashed potatoes, funny that both our cravings were for potatoes. :) Good luck at your apointment.

Wow, i guess it's been a while since i checked in on you guys! CONGRATS!!!!!!! I'm So happy for you! I was laughing as i read through your experience thus far...feeling like you're starving and thirsty nonstop, and just feeling bloated all the time, wondering how much longer the clothes will fit! It's actually quite fun to start showing...i love it when people look at my belly and smile! It reminds me what a miracle i have inside! As for meat goes, hopefully it gets better. I couldn't even think about chicken for the first little while. And now, it's hard because even though you're super hungry....you can't eat much because there's no room for food...only baby!!! GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!!

So not funny. You seriously haven't gained a pound yet? That is so awesome! I'm going to take a wild guess and say you aren't going to be one of those girls who gain 50 lbs. with their pregnancy! Everything you talked about for cravings sounded pretty good to me too, and I'm not even prego!
