To Seattle, Hawaii and Beyond!!

These are a few pictures from our little stint in Seattle this summer. Jon and Cher were wonderful enough to let us bunk at their home the whole summer. So nice! I'm a little blogged out for the day, Hawaii is soon to follow though, don't worry! Aloooooha!Matt and I decided to get silly with the Octopus at the aquarium.
Matt taking off with his Rocketeer jetpack
These guys were sooo good. I almost bought a CD. I especially liked the guy on the very right with the podunk looking instrument.

This was for my birthday! Matt was going to be in Chicago for my birthday and we went over to Wenatchee for the weekend. On Sunday I got a little surprise party! Laurel was sweet enough to make a tasty cake and mom gave me some gifts that she bought for me like 6 months ago that I said I wanted. I had completely forgotten about them so it was a great treat!
An over exaggerated candle blowing pose so Matt could get a picture.
We went to Pike Place and it was so fun seeing all the people and stuff. Great for people watching!

For family home evening we all went to the church and cleaned up the parking lot. Naturally this was my angel of a mother- in- law's idea. She is so service oriented I wish I was around her more often so that maybe some of it would rub off on me:)
Cute Noahbug wanting to help out just like everyone else!
Milk, does a body good

Matt took me to my first Mariners game and they lost but that's ok cuz I was with my sweetie.

How you doin?
These were not our seats. We went and sat down in the better sections for the last inning.
Another day we went to the Woodland Park Zoo with Jon and the kiddos. And I dedicate this picture to Amy b/c I know how much you loooove snakes! ssssssss

Don't worry, we're alive

For everyone who is so desperate to know what is happening in our lives, I'm sorry to say you are going to have to wait a little bit longer. We have been super busy with school, work and family stuff. But so you know we are alive and kicking, and hopefully we will be able to post some excited pictures from our summer adventures soon. Love you all and don't give up on us!

Happy 4th of July!

For the 4th the Dover Clan and I went up to Grandma and Grandpa Anderton's to celebrate. First we had dinner at Ric and Sharon's and then we chit chatted for a bit and went to bed under the stars. Well it would of been a good night sleep for me except I kept tossing and turning because I was so cold! At 4am I finally went inside and sacked out on the couch. At 8am I woke up to Olivia counting the coasters that were next to my head, "Un...To...Wee...Fo..." it was very cute. Then we ate breakfast and lounged around for it to get hot enough to go in the pool. The following are a bunch of pics of some of the great grandkids at the pool. Most are of Olivia but what can I say she is my favorite (even if she does give me cold shoulder sometimes..she is two and sure shows it!)
Livi's gorgeous smile! And she had to be in this contraption because she saw Samantha in it.
Olivia being a big girl and going up the ladder all by herself.

Livi wanted goggles like the other big kids. They didn't stay on long because they started fogging up and Livi didn't like not being able to see. That's why she's not looking at the camera!
Kenya(Ryan and Jaimi's) sporting all the gear she could find
Katie and Olivia giving her famous "pretty smile"
The happy couple. Why are they happy? Because someone just took their two year old away to play so now they get to snuggle;)
The Anderton miracle baby, Samantha (Ben and Kimby's)
How precious!
Amy had one so of course Livi had to have one! So cute!

Emmalee's Birthday

My little niece Emmalee turned 1 on the 16th of June! Kiersten(my sister) and I planned a very cute party and I took some cute pics of her for her memory book. We had a polka dot theme. The cupcakes look a little Flintstone-ish but the cake didn't turn out too bad. So here are some pics for you to enjoy!

Flintstone cupcakes
This is the face she makes every time she sees me, so cheesy!

Isn't she adorable!

Moving

For all of you that don't know Matt and I moved a couple of weeks ago into the top part of the duplex that my parents own. It is sooooo much nicer than our past apartment. We have TWO bedrooms, TWO washers and dryers AND a dishwasher! Talk about a step up! We have so much more space and we got rid of a ton of junk. I actually really liked moving. It gave me a chance to get reorganized and get rid of things I didn't even know I had. I'll post some after pictures once I get all of our pictures hung and such. And a special thanks to Amy and Mike for helping us move all the big stuff, thanks guys!

It's a Saturday night and I ain't got nobody, I got some money cuz I just got paid.....

Ok so it's not Saturday night but I thought of blogging last night and that would of been the perfect title, so I couldn't pass up using it. My schmoopy is gone and I'm officially bored out of my mind. That's Some Pig

You are probably wondering why I am holding a gun and standing next to a ginormous pig, well hold on to your britches this is gonna be one wild ride. It was a warm summer night and Matt and I were taking our nightly walk on a path that goes through the woods. We both heard some rustling noises and thought it was just the wind, so we kept walking. Then we heard grunting and had to pause and take a peek. Lo and behold there was a giant gurgling beast waddling right to us. We thought "What the heck!" So I whipped out my 357 magnum that I keep with me at all times and shot it right between the eyes. But that wasn't enough, it kept comin. So I shot it in the head. Nope, that didn't work either. 9 shots later the giant monster had crumpled to the ground. We stepped closer to it and saw it looked like a giant pig!! So now we have oodles of pork chops and bacon stuffed in our freezer. We'll be eaten good tonight! If you need any just give us a call!

Oh what the hey

I thought since I have so many pics of Olivia on here I better do some of my brother's and sister's kids. So here are some pics of my nephew Nathan, 31/2(Reece's oldest) and my sister's little girl Emmalee, almost 1. Nathan is a hoot! Always wanting to play and wrestle. Matt and I often go over and we play Cranium. We don't like Nathan to play with it by himself cuz he'd probably lose some pieces. So naturally he wants to play with it because we don't want him to. So he asks "Where's Cranium?" and we say "You don't want to play that, it's a dumb game". So whenever we go over he always asks, "I wanna play the Dumb Game." , "Where's the Dumb game?" We just have to laugh at his wittiness. Emmalee is adorable also. She loves to yell and try and get words out. She does this crazy army crawl and can't quite get the guts to take more than two steps. And how about that bald little head! So cute! I love all the my nieces and nephews!

Attack of the Bugs

Matt and I were out playing frisbee golf the other day and the mosquitoes decided to gang up on me! I swear I'm on the Mosquito Mafia Hit List or something cuz those things eat me alive.

This is a side profile of my arm where I got two bites right next to each other. Needless to say my arm swelled up like a balloon. Gross! From here it really looks like I broke something.
And this is the area from the top. Notice how it's all red and stuff, if you put your hand on it, it feels hot! So gross. But now it has gone down considerably and I no longer look like I have some disease that originated from the Amazon.Phew!

More Olivia

This is probably starting to look like Amy's blog but until we get some little wee ones of our own Olivia is the next best thing! We had her 2nd Birthday at a great park with some cool wading pools. Amy did a great job making the cake and putting everything together! What a day!

This is her floating on her back basking in the sun. Notice how she always keeps her poor little hand out of the water. So cute!
Olivia loved the wading pool so much that she decided to drink the water! Sick! She loved laying on her tummy and slurping it up and then rolling over.

You are probably thinking that that is frosting all over her mouth... wrong! It's veggie dip! Right before we were about to cut the cake and sing "Happy Birthday" Olivia decided she was hungry and took a tiny piece of broccoli and basically dipped her whole hand in the dip with it. I'm telling you this girl is one of a kind!

Ode to Olivia

Can I just say that we absolutely love this little girl! We just got back from babysitting and she is so fun! I love it when she says, "Matt, Megan wha u doing?" She asked that probably 10 times today. It's so cute to hear her string words together and express herself. My favorite was when she emptied out my purse and handed every single item back to me one by one, and each time said, "Here u go Megan." I'd say "Thank you" and she would say "Welcome". Such a sweetheart! And I am sooooo glad she has got hair! Look at those cute pigtails don't they just make your heart melt! Well maybe not for you, but for me it sure does!

Bro's Graduation

This post is a little late but oh well. This is my big brother Reece, he just graduated from BYU with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. We are so proud of him! Him and Shana have worked so hard to get where they are and I admire them so much! And now they are heading to graduate school at Purdue University in 2 weeks! Wow! Matt and I are really going to miss them when they leave. (The baby on the left is his, the other is my sisters) We love you guys!

Not Wrapping Up

I wish I could say I was wrapping up for the summer but I have just begun! I got to hit the ground running in my Organic Chemistry class. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be, I just have to keep up with everything. Oh, my English professor's name is Anna Bennion(ring a bell Mom A? She's in your home ward!) She is very cool and spunky. My other class is a Physics lab which is an easy A so I'm not gonna write anything about it. I love Spring/Summer terms, everyone's gone! It's fun to get up every morning, walk to campus and not have to worry about getting smashed by a crazy student going 50mph down 500 North. There's plenty of room in the quite JSB to study (sigh). It's great! As I was walking this morning I was thinking of how lucky we all are. We have wonderful families, devoted spouses, beautiful homes, satisfying jobs and the gospel. What else could you want in life? I can't think of anything else. We are all soooo blessed.
