House Pics, Thanksgiving, Glasses

My new glasses! They are so cute! I put them on and I could see waaay better. I was spottin raccoons left and right (that's from Seinfeld). And man I love insurance, I got these $180 frames for only 10 bucks!

The Thanksgiving spread. It was just Matt and I this year but I had fun cooking to my hearts content. I made everything from scratch except the stuffing and rolls. I was feeling very domestic throughout the day:) The turkey was delish, and moist and I made turkey stock with the left over carcass. It is now neatly labeled and sitting in my freezer for future use. The day before Thanksgiving Matt got off work early and we went to see Twilight. I loved it and hated it. Hopefully the second will be better because they'll have more money for it. We spent Thanksgiving day eating, watching Rocky movies and eating. It was very chill and relaxed.

Matt carving the turkey:)

Our new KING sized bed. One word: BLISS.

The formal living room, just pretend that there is a piano or bookcase on the wall to your right and a very cool chair to your left. And also use your imagination to envision some artistic pictures on the wall:)

Our bookcase. We were originally going to put three shelves up and fill them with books but then we found out the shelves have a 20lb. weight limit, so we had to scratch that. And again imagine there is a leather chair and ottoman to your left and a cool chair to your right and pictures put on the wall in some artistic way.

I probably should update

Not much has been going one around here. It's like 75 degrees outside right now, CRAZY. I keep wearing pants thinking the weather will get the hint and cool off a bit for the holidays, oh well. We've slowly been putting our house together with furniture and such. It's really hard for me to find stuff I like, especially because I'm cheap. We finally broke down and bought a new bed. I had been complaining to Matt for weeks that my back hurts from our mattress, and he thought I was just being dramatic. Well, finally I made him switch sides with me (for some reason his side is WAY more comfortable than my side). The next day I get a phone call from him, "Megan, we have to buy a new bed...TODAY". I'm thinking, "Why didn't I make him switch weeks ago??" So I won, and we now have a new bed on the way. So if you ever come to visit you have the option of sleeping on our old lumpy mattress or the aerobed. You pick:) We got some cool shelving for our books and are still in the process of putting it all together. I can't do it all by myself because my wrists start to hurt if I use them too much ( I think I have carpal tunnel). We found a primary care physician and Matt has an appointment on Friday for a very thorough physical. Matt hasn't had a check up in ohhhh I'd say 5 years! Next things to get fixed are my wrists and my eyes. We had a very fun Halloween. We went over to our friends house, Sam and Tiffany Zimmerman, and had food, played guitar hero, played Scene It: The Office, and complained how they didn't get even ONE trick or treater. Then we had Stake Conference on Saturday and Sunday. We got to hear from Elder Craig C. Christensen of the Seventy. Very neat. The Sunday session was a mad house. I forgot what conference is like in family wards, sooo many kids! There was so much noise and distraction that we gave up listening and ended up observing all the little kids and telling each other how cute they are. Anyways, that is about it. We miss everyone and love you all!
