Kids grow so fast. Elijah has changed a bunch in the last 2 months. He continues to be a sweet boy. Usually obedient and helpful. Although he does get his fair share of time-outs. He likes to spit when he's told he can't do something, which usually lands him in one.
-When we leave stores, I usually have to bribe him with gum to get him out. He loves gum. Calls it,"Num, yum".
-Is very helpful with the Oliver. He finds binky's for me and puts them in his mouth. If we are about to go somewhere he always asks, "Baby?" with his hands up. He wants to make sure the baby is coming with us.
-Loves sleeping with the following in his bed: Elmo, Elephant, Dog, Bear and Rabbit. Along with the usual blanket and softy blankets. Matt started this. I am anti-stuffed animals. But once Matt let him do it once, we can never go back without a melt down.
-His fine motor skills are amazing. He loves doing puzzles and is kind of unbelievable at them.
-He is learning his alphabet and can count to 10. His favorite letters are, 'O', 'P', and 'B'. He points them out on just about everything.
-He could spend forever playing with water and dirt outside.
-Loves the Lion King and is currently obsessed with Nemo.
-When he is looking for something he puts his finger to his cheek and says, "hmmm. hmmm." Then when he finds what he's looking for he says, "A HA!"
-Loves "helping" me make cookies. Loves scooping flour and sugar. He cracked his first egg today all by himself. I went to the pantry and when I came back, he'd cracked an egg into the bowl and put the empty shell in the garbage. ALL PERFECTLY. I couldn't find a trace of shell anywhere. Either he's been watching me really close or we make cookies too much :)
-He is still pretty hesitant about new people and situations. Still screams when we take him to nursery, but stops once we leave. He's getting better though as I've made a point about him hanging out with more kids.
-Is slowly learning how to go potty. Goes every night before bed and gets a Starburst if he does.
-I don't know if it's just the age or his personality, but he's starting to sprout some stubbornness. He won't say words that I ask him to, just because he doesn't want to. He wants things to be his idea. Starting to become so independent.
-When he wants to do something he says, "I Try", or "I See".

He is very attached to stuffed animals at stores now. This is the pathetic face he gives us when we tell him to put the animals back. |

On this day, we walked around with this laundry basket on his head about 20 mins. No big deal. |
