I can't believe he's almost 1. Unbelievable. Since 6 months, Elijah has developed so fast and learning so many new things. It's so fun to watch them grow and at the same time I weep at how big he is getting, I just always thought he'd be a baby. Duh, right? We love him more each day.
Stats:
22lbs- 50th percentile (No wonder my arms always hurt)
28 1/2 inches-50th percentile
19 inch head
(I think it's safe to say his genetics have finally caught up with him-Matt and I were both rollie pollie babies.)
Right now he:
-Claps
-Rolls around
-Can manuver around in a circle on his tummy, no crawling yet.
-Loves eating. He will eat anything. We usually feed him baby food for breakfast and lunch and for dinner he eats what we eat. He loves table foods. He's getting very good at feeding himself. He like to pick food up with his right hand and then transfers it to his left and stuffs it in his mouth.
-Babbles and I swear I heard him say dada several times.
-Is really into munching on Matt's Heman toys. Don't worry I make sure they don't have any small parts. Although I bet some of them have lead in the paint so we may have to rethink that until he stops shoving things in his mouth.
-He has two teeth! I'm pretty sure he's getting a whole bunch more soon, either that or he just likes to drool on me for fun :)
-Still an amazing sleeper. 12-13 hours at night. 2 naps a day. But I wouldn't really know if he wakes up, we nixed the monitor at night. Best idea ever.
-Loves people watching
-Giggles on command
-Has his first ear infection which was nothing compared to the hand, mouth, food disease he had at the same time. So sad.
-Has a fascination with tags. If something has a tag on it he will find it and stroke it and stare.
-Is VERY ticklish.
-He has the sweetest disposition, but can be feisty and if he wants something he will definitely let you know.
-Loves screaming when he's frustrated.

not to mention he's simply adorable. I love the "grrrrr" face!
Nixing the monitor--I'm so proud of you! Remember, no one used monitors back in the good old days. Our babies slept through the night quite early back then, at least we think they did since we didn't hear them wake up and sooth themselves back to sleep!
