Baby Sunday: 26 weeks-Vacation Edition

We are on vacation in Utah right now and leave tomorrow. It has been such a blast. We came for Nels wedding (tearfully gorgeous- I totally lost it in the sealing room). We got to go to Olivia's 4th birthday party-she is getting so grown up. Matt said the other day while watching a video of her riding her new bike, "Ohhh she was just born!" We stuffed our faces with plenty of Cafe Rio and Gandolfos. Amy and Mom A. through me a baby shower with all the Anderton cousins. I got some serious loot. We also got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Anderton- he entertained us with stories of his pilot years and one of blowing a squirrel's head off on the back porch. Hilarious those two! I love spending time with family. We get to see my family starting on Thursday so that should be a blast as well. Baby boy is kicking my ribs right now so I'm going to talk about him.

Baby Sunday: 26 weeks

Obsessions/Rampages: Bubba is definitely growing faster and faster now. I can feel him starting to squish my ribs when I sit. My book says he is now the size of a 2lb chuck roast. He kicks the most at night and Liv actually got to feel him kick today. He is so strong. I love it. I'm told this is the best part of pregnancy- before you are too huge and uncomfortable. Only 3 more months, I'm so excited to see him! I have an appointment on Tuesday coupled with an ultrasound. I can't wait too see how much he's grown since my last one. I had my glucose tolerance test last week. It was easy peasy. I only had to do the 1 hour one and the stuff tasted like flat orange soda, so I didn't think it was bad at all.

Elations/Worries: Elated for all the decorating and planning I get to do when we get home. It will be so much fun. Worries- I had my first encounter with heartburn this week. I thought I was having a heart attack. Not fun. Luckily I new exactly what caused it- I ate way too much of a spicy taco salad. I've been able to avoid heartburn since then by eating smaller meals. I can't imagine getting it all the time like some people. I feel lucky so far, hopefully it stays that way.

Aversions/Cravings: I haven't been on my usual eating schedule since we've been on vacation and my body is telling me that I need to eat better. The last two days for dinner or snacks I've had vegetables. All I want is vegetables. But then I go and eat a bowl of ice cream so it's a little counter intuitive. I'm in love with cereal like always. That's about it. Not any major cravings or aversions.

I love reading your updates. My mom and Chrissy had fun seeing your parents last week. I'm glad you love being pregnant--I loved it all three times!!! :)
