Stake Conference
We had Stake Conference today and our Stake Presidency got released so Elder L. Tom Perry was there. I got to meet him! ( I sit up on the stand since I'm the Stake Primary President) This is the second Apostle I've gotten to meet! ( I met Elder Bednar in Arkansas) He is the most energetic person I've ever met. Especially for someone his age, wow! What an opportunity it is to meet one the the Lord's elect servants. You can sense the love and understanding they have for each and everyone of us. They really are examples and disciples of Christ. Anyways I just had tell everyone b/c I was very excited about it!

That is very cool..to bad you couldn't have your camera with you to take a picture to go along with that great blog.
Scuse me L. Tom..would you mind stepping outside for a photo op..my camera is always in the diaper bag you know.
Very cool Megan! L. Tom Perry was our General Authority for Honduras so we got to meet him also! He counseled Katie to learn to make Cinnamon Rolls like her mother's. (I made snacks for the Saturday Priesthood leadership session.) His second wife was one of my BYU Nursing instructors so that was fun to talk with her.
I surreptiously took a picture of him on the stand in the soccer stadium in Tegucigalpa where we held Regional Conference. I just put my camera on my scriptures in my lap and snapped the picture because my old camera had an additional viewfinder on top you could look straight down into. It just looked like I was reading my scriptures. Sneaky!!
