Day 2 Pearl Harbor

We decided to go to Pearl Harbor the second day. It is an amazing historical site. They have a video you can see depicting the events of that day. Very moving.

This suicide Torpedo is amazing. It was very hard to stomach that someone would actually get in there and sacrifice themselves to kill people. Heart wrenching.

Matt, reenacting the scene where Ben Affleck is shooting down bomber planes.

Look at row 3 bottom "Miller", 5 of them are brothers. Amazing.

The memorial site where the U.S.S. Arizona went down.

After our Pearl Harbor visit, we decided to go snorkel and chill at Haunama Bay. It was just gorgeous! Not too many people around and nice and peaceful. I was a little freaked out with the snorkeling because water kept seeping into my mask, and for everyone who has been is ocean water that stuff burns when it gets in your eyes! Other than that we saw some cool fish, my favorite was the eel.

Hey handsome;)

I swear everyday we would go to the shaved ice place by our condo and devour some yummy shaved ice, mmmm I want some right now!

Day 1 on the Island of Oahu

We visited the Dole Plantation the day after we got to Oahu. Naturally, we indulged in some delicious pineapple ice cream and fresh cut pineapple. I later got a canker sore from eating it, but it was soooo worth it! I have to say that I have never seen how a pineapple grows and it is amazing! They pretty much grow out of the ground on a little plant. Very neat.

We hit the beach before dinner and just relaxed and soaked up some rays.

To Seattle, Hawaii and Beyond!!

These are a few pictures from our little stint in Seattle this summer. Jon and Cher were wonderful enough to let us bunk at their home the whole summer. So nice! I'm a little blogged out for the day, Hawaii is soon to follow though, don't worry! Aloooooha!Matt and I decided to get silly with the Octopus at the aquarium.
Matt taking off with his Rocketeer jetpack
These guys were sooo good. I almost bought a CD. I especially liked the guy on the very right with the podunk looking instrument.

This was for my birthday! Matt was going to be in Chicago for my birthday and we went over to Wenatchee for the weekend. On Sunday I got a little surprise party! Laurel was sweet enough to make a tasty cake and mom gave me some gifts that she bought for me like 6 months ago that I said I wanted. I had completely forgotten about them so it was a great treat!
An over exaggerated candle blowing pose so Matt could get a picture.
We went to Pike Place and it was so fun seeing all the people and stuff. Great for people watching!

For family home evening we all went to the church and cleaned up the parking lot. Naturally this was my angel of a mother- in- law's idea. She is so service oriented I wish I was around her more often so that maybe some of it would rub off on me:)
Cute Noahbug wanting to help out just like everyone else!
Milk, does a body good

Matt took me to my first Mariners game and they lost but that's ok cuz I was with my sweetie.

How you doin?
These were not our seats. We went and sat down in the better sections for the last inning.
Another day we went to the Woodland Park Zoo with Jon and the kiddos. And I dedicate this picture to Amy b/c I know how much you loooove snakes! ssssssss

Don't worry, we're alive

For everyone who is so desperate to know what is happening in our lives, I'm sorry to say you are going to have to wait a little bit longer. We have been super busy with school, work and family stuff. But so you know we are alive and kicking, and hopefully we will be able to post some excited pictures from our summer adventures soon. Love you all and don't give up on us!
